Stephen Marsh is one of New Zealand’s leading thoroughbred conditioners.

His forward-thinking approach to thoroughbred training has seen his team go from strength to strength.

The Cambridge base has grown to include specialised facilities, aimed to get the best out of each individual horse.

Located at Cambridge Jockey Club, the largest training centre in Australasia, Marsh Racing boasts a treadmill, two horse walkers, paddocks and large, well ventilated stabling.

The use of CJC’s top class facilities hosts a multitude of tracks and surfaces to exercise on, including a state of the art polytrack and swimming pool, meaning each horse can have their training tailored to their specific needs. Set in the heart of horse country we are surrounded by studs and spelling farms including Stephens own farm 15 minutes away. The beautiful Waikato property cares for many Marsh trained horses enabling Stephen to keep a close eye on how they are doing, send horses out for a quick freshen up and gives the horses a change of scenery. The team also has a satellite stable based in Christchurch which has been a great asset and produced many southern victories.

Marsh Racing prides themselves on preparing each animal as an individual and are turned out to a high standard by our dedicated, experienced team. We are grateful for the expertise of many top horsemen/women, physio’s, chiropractors, vets, farriers and riders to ensure the equine athlete can perform at their optimum level.
